After breakfast, depart for a full day excursion to Capri Island with free time at the local beach. Tour the Blue Grotto, a magical ocean cave that glows a brilliant shade of blue as light shines through the water (cover photo.) With limestone cliffs that rise up from the Mediterranean Sea and white-washed houses, Capri is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Explore this enchanting island, from its colorful harbor (Marina Grande) to its highest town (Anacapri). Return to Sorrento to attend a folklore show at the Teatro Tasso with dinner included. B, D
Fri, June 29Sorrento - O/N Ferry
Start your day with a drive along the Amalfi coast and admire the sheer cliffs and rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing village to Salerno. After some free time, drive toward Naples to Pompeii (inside cover,) the Roman city both destroyed and buried in ash. Before boarding your ferry for your sailing overnight, enjoy some free time in Naples. Settle in your cabin with a window and join your group for dinner on-board. B, D
Sat, June 30O/N Ferry - Palermo Area
Disembark. Meet your local guide for an introductory tour of Palermo. Discover the Medieval area to see the beautiful examples of Arab, Norman and Baroque architecture. Admire the Renaissance Fountain known also as the Fountain of Shame, the Four Corners, the famous meeting place in Baroque times, the Cathedral of Palermo, Norman Palace and Palatine Chapel and more. Continue with a visit of Monreale Cathedral and admire the mosaics from Old and New Testament made of gold. Then, transfer to the resort town of Mondello to check-in to your hotel (photo to right.) B

Spend the whole day at the resort’s private swimming pool or private sandy beach or walk along the streets of the resort’s town. You may decide to make your way back to Palermo to further explore the town on your own and discover the cathedral, the Church of Saint Catherine and other monuments. B

Travel to beautiful Agrigento for a full day guided excursion. Exemplified by the famous Valle dei Templi (“Valley of the Temples”), see excavations and partial restorations of some of the largest and best-preserved ancient Greek buildings outside of Greece itself. As they are listed as a World Heritage Site, you may want to see the Temple of Juno or the Temple of Concordia, that was once used as catacombs. Do not miss the 14th century cathedral and the 13th century Church of Santa Maria dei Greci (“St. Mary of the Greeks”.) Spend the evening with your fellow travelers at a farewell dinner at a local winery. B, D

Visit St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world, and St. Peter’s Square. Spend the remainder of your day sightseeing with your group. B

Enjoy your last day in Italy! Head out to explore beautiful Roma on your own. See sights that you adore or explore the meandering streets of this ancient city and discover new landmarks on your own. You may visit the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps or the Pantheon. B
