This morning, proceed with your local guide to the Pyramids of Giza, the sole remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. The Great Pyramid of Khufu was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years and is estimated to contain 2.3 million stone blocks. See the imposing Sphinx and at your option take in the magnitude of these remarkable architectural feats from the back of a camel, the most reliable form of desert transport! MON, NOV 1 CAIRO
Visit the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, built in 1901, housing the world’s largest collection of Egyptian and Pharaonic antiquities and the largest in the region. Visit Old Cairo, also known as Coptic Cairo. Enjoy free time to shop at the Al-Kahalili Bazaar. Before dinner, enjoy an evening with a spectacular Sound & Light Show at the Giza Pyramids. B, D
TUE, NOV 2 CAIRO - ASWAN/CRUISE
Transfer to the airport with the assistance of your guide. Fly to Aswan where you will board the Nile cruise ship, Moon Goddess. Sail by Felucca around Kitcheners Island & Agha Khan. Afternoon tea on-board. Enjoy a Nubian folkloric show before dinner. B, L, D
WED, NOV 3 CRUISE
This morning after breakfast on-board, visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries the Temple of Philae, and then sail to Kom Ombo. There you will visit the Temple shared by the deities of Sobek and Haeroris. In ancient times, sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the river bank near this site. Sail on to Efdu, known for its major Ptolemaic temple, built between 237 BC to 57 BC, into the reign of Cleopatra VII. Afternoon tea on-board. Overnight in Edfu. B, L, D
THU, NOV 4 CRUISE
After breakfast on-board, visit Horus Temple, also called the Temple of Edfu and built between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Hellenistic period in Egypt. Sail to Luxor, home to the world’s largest religious complex ever built. After lunch, spend the afternoon with your group on-board. Enjoy afternoon tea then celebrate Egyptian style dress at a Galabya Party. B, L, D

This morning, continue to the West Bank to visit the Necropolis of Thebes. See the ancient sites contained in the Valley of the Kings, as well as Queen Hatshepsut’s Deir El Bahari Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Visit the East Bank (Karnak & Luxor Temples.)
